About this Private Tour
Three days in Kabul only — private, starting and ending at the airport. Two nights in the capital. This is not Bamiyan, not Band-e Amir, and not a driver-only hire. You come for a city continuously inhabited for more than 3,500 years: the National Museum, Babur Garden, the tiled Sakhi Shrine, the bird market, and the hill at last light. Permits stay in Darya's name. Any dates, private only. The city sits at 1,800 metres, so take day 1 easy and drink more water than you think you need. Embassy visa or e-visa as for every other Kabul-start tour; the Kabul airport e-visa is fine here — this is not a Hairatan start.
Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1 — Arrival in Kabul
Your guide and driver meet you at the airport in the morning and take you to the hotel, then out into a city that has been continuously inhabited for more than 3,500 years and sits at 1,800 metres. The afternoon begins at the tiled Sakhi Shrine, continues past the Shah-Do Shamshira Mosque, and slows down in the Kah Faroshi Bird Market, where cages of songbirds line a lane older than most capitals. The last stop is the mausoleum of Timur Shah Durrani, the ruler who made Kabul the Afghan capital in 1776. The altitude is real, so take the first day at an easy pace and drink more water than you think you need.
Day 2 — Kabul
The National Museum of Afghanistan — Bactrian gold country, Buddhist Gandhara, Islamic bronzes that survived everything — then the terraces of Babur Garden, resting place of the first Mughal emperor, and finally the Id Gah Mosque. And if the light cooperates you close the day on Wazir Akbar Khan Hill with the city spread out below. Overnight in Kabul.
Day 3 — Kabul and Departure
Breakfast at the hotel, then a last morning in the capital: the Kushan-era Shewaki Buddhist Stupa, the terraced garden of Bagh-e Babur where the Mughal emperor is buried, and the Id Gah Mosque. Then comes the airport transfer for an afternoon departure. Book your outbound flight and allow three hours for check-in. Kabul connects daily to Dubai with flydubai, and onwards to Doha, Istanbul and Abu Dhabi with Qatar Airways, Turkish Airlines and Air Arabia.
